Cathy was born and raised in the Washington D.C. area. She attended Catholic University of America and received her B.S. in Nursing in 1976. Cathy received her Oncology Certification (ONS) in 1990 and her M.S. in Health Care Administration from the University of Maryland College Park in 1997.
Cathy has worked in a variety of hospital and community-based cancer programs over her 30 years. She has served in cancer management roles for more than twenty -five years. Cathy has been recognized for program comprehensiveness for both programmatic and facility design. Several accomplishments are noteworthy under her leadership. Centers of Excellence such as The Breast Center, The Healing Arts Wellness Center, The Nicotine Dependency Center, Clinical Research and Outcomes, The Radiation Oncology Center, The Lung Care Center, and The Womens Cancer Center are a few examples of these accomplishments.
Cathy manages over 100 FTE’s across a variety of hospital settings, inpatient and outpatient, and is responsible for several million dollars in revenue.
Cathy participates on many hospital and community committees, including The Maryland Cancer Plan, a Governor appointed task force, a national breast grant review board and represents hospitals on the Board of The Maryland Tech Council a unique association of technology firms.
